Healthy Lifestyle Walks

Monday, August 8, 2016

We are working with Alison, a healthy lifestyle trainer to organise healthy lifestyle walks, meeting at the community centre at 1pm and lasting till 2pm.

The walk is then followed by an optional individual or group-session with Alison.

The Healthy Lifestyle Trainer’s Service is a free, confidential service offering practical advice and support to people who want to:-

  • Lose Weight
  • Eat Healthier
  • Get Fitter
  • Stop Smoking
  • Cut down on Alcohol

They will help you set your own personal goals specific to your needs, ones that fit with your lifestyle and  will support you over a period of 6 sessions. They are able to meet you within the community and at a time that suits you (e.g. in a community centre, leisure facility or café)

Healthy Lifestyle Trainers are all people from the local community with the skills to help you and an excellent knowledge of services and activities in your area.

If you are part of a group who want to make healthier changes to your lifestyle, e.g. start a diet club, stop smoking club or exercise club, they can help you set your goals and help support you with your progress. Sometimes making changes can be easier with the support of a group.
